hi fellow brian,
i done a 5 day course in grange mouth just before christmas with the aim being get the general tips/ideas of a tiler and then do some odds and ends for family friends with the hope of eventually being able to pack in my job and do it full time.....wether this becomes reality or not i remain to see...i live in uddingston?

i am going to tile my sisters kitchen splashback this weekend,its about 3sqm she has chose black mosaq tiles with a chrome edge to match her sockets etc....anything i should know or should it be straight forward enough??

Mosaics...walk in the park...will be easy starter, start with small tiles then work your way up to the big difficult stuff.....Good luck....Gaz:lol:

use a 3mm mosaic trowel,use a whiteflexible adhesive such as pci-nanolight and pci-aquafug grout which contains an anti fungal agent.

firstly make sure the walls are straight by putting your bead along and check for gaps,if gaps are excessive then you need to deal with it accordingly either get it plastered or do it yourself by packing wall out using rapidset adhesive,walls must be almost perfect for mosaic application m8(hard job to start with). good luck:thumbsup:

It would make life easier if you could get mats, as customer could go for the cheaper end thinking they are saving money,this is not a good option,So try and advice customers to at least get materials from tile shops not diy stores...........Addy wise,if your a newbie ,stick to tubbed gear till you get up to speed,all the best.............:thumbsup:
