hi to all just trying to get into the world of proffesional tiling and looking for some tips to get started?starting a course on monday at the yorkshire tiling academy in bradford anybody no if its any good? cheers

Good luck mate, it wont be easy getting into the tiling world, takes around 3yrs to get really going, so dont give up your day job...

thanks mate.really hard trying to get the experience you need and at 25 its not like you can drop down to £60 quid a week to gain it dont think that would help my mortgage provider northern rock.

Hi matt,take your time when choosing a course,im sure some bod will point you in the right direction,there are excellent courses out there so look at all avenues b4 making the plunge,good luck,Dean.

Do the course, and do friends etc first, or get a part time job to keep the money coming in. Im not trying to put you off but it not easy getting into the tiling game, there are a lot of good tiling training schools out there, your not going to earn £40,000 per year. Im a landscape contractor and i run them both together and ive been tiling three years, and im really busy with both, could do tiling full time now, but love being outside in the summer and indoors tiling in the winter.

welcome mate am shaun for wakey not too far from your course base , but to be fair i've never heard of it, how longs the course

1 week then back for a nvq assesment week cant wait to get started totally fed up with present job

I already have a full time job on shifts that give me 4 days off after every 4 days on shift every week and I tile in them 4 days off.

Can be a busy life, but my long term aim is fully self employed tiliing.
