Homelux WP Membrane

Can anyone give me some advice regarding Homelux WP membrane.

Can this be applied to a "browning" layer of plaster or does it need to be skimmed ?

Or am I right in thinking that as you need to apply the membrane with a layer of tile adhesive, you can't go straight onto browning ?

I would have the wall skimmed, browning can be powdery

Simple answer.NO!!!...not stable enough.....

So many plasterers around my way at least, tell clients browning is ok etc..............ok for them after they walk out with their dosh.:mad2:

just surprised theres no mention for the need to prime before fixing especially when using cement based addy

i know i know, just that usually that sorta advice gets thrown in anyway just incase especially as its not in the forums arms and the fixer may not be in the know, (but then again why is he a tiler if he doesn't know)... just wouldn't want someone to go ahead spreading straight onto the plaster :yes:

PVA is good stuff well for sticking little bits of paper together :lol:
