My next door neighbour works for the council, he was out early yesterday in his council van and hi viz wear and saw at least 3 people giving their gardens an early soak, each time he saw them he gave a little toot of the horn, shook his head and wagged a finger at them and they scarpered like rabbits, he had a right laugh because he is a refuse collector of illegally dumped stuff and couldn't care less if they use a hosepipe.

Absolute belter of a day here again today. I rweckon i sweated enough yesteray to refill the stocks anywhere.

If the greed fat cats fixed the leaks instead of lining their pockets with divided payments every year the water losses would rule out the need for the bans.

Im putting in a rainwater harvesting system for the toilets in the new roof. Simple system to pump filtered rain water to a tank in the loft. It can be used for all the toilets, dishwasher and watering garden, car washing etc. Not keen on the dishwasher idea but for the tiolets its a must as the kids flush for them for fun these days.
