how do you price up a job ?

How do you guys price a job, does it depend on tile size ? i,e you can cover a lot more area with a 300x600 than a 200x100 !is it per sq mt or on a day rate where you allow your self x days @ x amount.

as a tiler, as I do bathroom refits I look at the job and think how many days it will take, for rip out, install suite tile etc etc, but I am just not charging enough, or im to bloody slow, so Id like to get and idea of what a tiler would charge, as i might just pass it on, but dont want to go round with 2 off us when i can quote on behalf of a tiler.

i normally price per metre mate but thats because ive been tiling for 16 years and i am quick enough to make good money and well as doing a good job but the price per metre changes on what tiles the customer picks i.e 8x10 bumpy white i can do quicker so i dont charge as much as if im doing 60x30 porcelian which take longer but ask your customers when measuring which tiles they have in mind. hope this helps
