Well as I said at the start, I stuck mine down with some addy and slc over the top. Back this morning and all looks good EXCEPT, as has been stated, a couple of the loops seem to have "floated" up and were sitting slightly proud. Not really a problem, just need to take care around them.
I must look out for a glue gun for the next time

and ply floor, small strips of duct tape on concrete

I was led to believe that ply floor wasn't the best substrate for a heated tiled floor.
