How much tanking?

Hello again Gang. I need to know how much of my new wet room to tank. Obviously I'll do the corner walls & floor near the shower but how far should I take the tanking? Room is 2.9m long, 2.6M wide & 2.0m high. Should I do the whole floor (7.6M2)? How far should I extend the wall tanking past the shower screen? Should I go a meter up dry walls etc. Thanks, James :shades_smile:

the whole floor is a big yes, (some might say no but if your budget allows, make it totally watertight) no reason to tank the walls far beyond the wet area though, Wet decs will be able to supply all your tanking requirements

Thanks Faithhealer. I guess I'll do the whole floor and use corner tape to take it up the dry walls 20mm or so. Its great to get another opinion. James :cool4:

We allways tank the whole floor and tape the wall floor intersection and use a skirting tile over the tape on the untiled walls.:8:
