Dear All
We have a bad tiling job above hot water underfloor heating which needs lifting and replacing. There is currently 1inch chipboard above the heating pipes. All needs ripping up and replacing with a something suitable. There are 2 large rectangular rooms, a hallway a small separate toilet and bathroom (floor and walls need doing in bathroom), it's approximately 90m2 in total. Toilets x2, sink and large shower cubicle will need to be tiled around/moved to enable tiling (or however you do it!). We would supply tiles, Tiler would supply everything else.
We've had some quotes, two come in at similar amounts and one is double the price and seems expensive! I wondered if some of you would be kind enough to give me an idea as to what this forum would quote me so I can see if this 'expensive' one really is over the top or if the others are just very cheap. I'd also like to know what you'd use under the tiles - i.e. chipboard, ply, fancy backing board etc. Anything I haven't mentioned that you'd need to know, just ask! Thanks very much for all your help!
