how much?

Kitchen splashback, 6 linear meters. 6 sockets and a window to go around. Tiles are not yet chosen but customer is 99% sure they will be 10cm x 10cm glazed tiles.
How much including materials should i be looking at charging?

Hi Penno mate. My very first job was a similar size/type to this. I had 14 sockets though and the area was split between 2 walls. Hadn't factored in that I was fitting in the region of 575 tiles because of the size and that the walls were not good. Eventually took 2 days longer than I thought and only billed £325 for the tiling inc materials.

Customer was pleased though!

Realised after i had made the post that you said linear metres, my kitchen was m2 so yes in relation to what you may be doing perhaps it is. Yours will be about 3.6m2 so you will do it quicker. Still bear in mind though that it is virtually mosaic.

Are the tile he/she is getting wall tiles? The ones I fixed were actually floor tiles and were thick and harder to cut.

Going to be wall tiles, can imagine they will be a good tile aswell. Did his en suite a few weeks back and he didn't exacly spare any expense with what he bought, cost a fortune.
Was looking at estimating about £220 and going around when he has purchased the tiles to take alook to see if the price would need changing dependent on the tiles.

I personally would be looking at 2 days for the tiling and another 1/2 day for the grouting and Silicon. There are a lot of grout lines to keep clean with 10x10 tiles. Then again, if you use cement adhesive, you may get the grouting done same day.

I would charge £25 per metre plus £10 per socket and £30 per window plus materials. thats how i do it.

If it was me, in my area then yes I would. Nearer 300 all in.

Im starting a kitchen splashback and chimney insert tomorrow, around 3 sqm and I charging £227 inc mats, 10x10 tiles, 4 sockets and into a window.

There again, it's probably nearer 2.5 sqm, and I'll most probably get the customers mums full bathroom and kitchen to do out of it.

Already done the blokes bathroom last month and he was well happy with it although i badly underpriced
