1) Went to Macdonalds after work today, mate say's fancy a milkshake,''yeah mate that would be nice''I reply. How embarrasing when he pays the £2.80 for the shakes in 2p pieces and then he's 50p short.

2) He wanted a bucket trowel for months, found one £9.99, omg thats a bit pricey and walked out of the store..

3) His tools are all sooooo old they are worth more now than when he brought them 20 years ago as museum pieces, washing up brushes are rotten, 10mm trowel is now 5mm...

4) Cheap nasty angle grinder he won...

5) Won't buy a radio, just uses everyone elses..

I could go on but you get the idea..

By the way Peckers your mate is doing his bit towards the enviroment and should be commended, if more people thought like this in our throw away society, the world would be a better place for us all..A BIG well done to your mate, not tight just green and thoughtful...

Dave, my good friend Terry and his wife travelled through Scotland a few years ago and said that everyone was wonderful, generous, and quite welcoming. Was this a fluke?:smilewinkgrin:

We're thrifty with buckets (no surprise there!)

The life cycle of a bucket goes like this, based on how worn and nasty it gets:

1st used for grouting water, then....
2nd used for grout, then....
3rd used for setting materials, then....
4th used to carry drypack or wall mud, then.....
5th used to carry trash to the dump or dumpster, then....
6th used to scrape old grout or mortar into so it can harden to be thrown away, then...

7th step, finally, it's given a dignified burial!

Buckets usually last for years before the bottom starts to crack or wear through with all the mixing.

It's stupid, really, because new buckets are so cheap. But I can't help it, I'm a Bucket *****.
