Essentially, you leave a margin which should be a little bigger than your grout lines. Keep the margin free of adhesive and grout, and then make a movement joint using Silicon. Sometimes you can skip the Silicon, but more often than not, it's safer to use Silicon.

Here's a small guide I wrote about siliconing earlier.
