HPI check?

Having just paid a deposit for an L200, want to do a HPI check to make sure there's no comeback in the future. Does anybody have any links they can recommend?

Apart from that doug if you have recovery AA or RAC then they can do it as well i think now.

www.hpicheck.com has very good history, I have used them v.v good. If you go to the site and check them out, they have been owned by the likes of Norwich union in the past. Have been around since 1938 unlike some of these text check ones that are on the tv adverts every day.

I always do the AA check, it costs about £20 but well worth it.

HPI worked well for me, nearly got stung on a van, mileage discrepency

cheers guys, done the AA check and it's come back clean apart from a milage discrepancy, apparently it's gone from 40k in March to 4k now?? although it's advertised as 45k and clock says 45k too

sounds like a typo Doug. if you're satisfied by looking at the service history, and no other company/finance house has an interest or charge over the vehicle, then you should be assured.

I once bought a Ford Focus from a reputable car supermarket in Derby and it leaked in water and became a swimming pool. I ran an HPI check on it, and it came back clean. But when my local garage had it up on ramps, they were so concerned about the state of it that they rang me. They put a report together saying that it had been in an accident, and badly repaired. None of which had every gone through the insurers. Something else to note for all you car/van/4x4 drivers.
