I hate computers

Why is it that for the last 6 months my sons laptop that was able to access my wireless internet connection at 1st then refused to cooperate ?
It was working fine at 1st, I tried to sort it but it just wouldnt work, so for the last 6 months whenever he comes , he needs to use a cable.
Today I said lets have another go and within 2 minutes he was up and running ???

I used to love messing with computers, I used to build non linear video editing systems between 97 and 2001.. and back then that was a challenge.
Sometimes when I sit down now to sort a PC out its as if I have never worked on them at all !

I had loads of trouble with my internet connection, it turned out to be a faulty filter on an extension, all fixed now but it drove me mad for weeks.

I have a brand new computer at my desk that I dont use as the internet connection keeps disconecting. Use the new moniter but, still using old computer as I realy cant be bothered with messing about with the new one.

My pc electrocuted itself round Christmas and now I have the old one and everything has gone wonky, old programs that used to work fine now don't or only after clicking off all sorts of mysterious path error messages, even downloading pics from my phone has turned all complicated, can't be doing with faffing about with it yet....

It does drive you mad, doesn't it. i am not a fan of computers because i dont understand them that well.
when mine crashes i still shake it up and down and see if that sorts out the problem lol

Whatever you do never never never shake your computer.....hit it with a big hammer instead

Now don't any of you take this the wrong way, I'm guilty of it myself, but 8 times out of 10, the problem exists between the chair and the keyboard :rofl: I used to build systems for friends and family until a few years back, now it takes a lot of head scratching to sort out the most basic problems, that said, Win 7, as great an OS as it is has settings stuck all over the place lol

remember when doms computer got infected back in feb and mine did too, we were spraying insect killer onto the hard drive to kill the bugs :yikes: :smilewinkgrin:
