Hi people, ive just knocked a kitchen wall out and my kitchen has ceramic tiles fitted (was there when i moved in) i had just knocked a wall out so my kitchen has the old scar marks left in the ground, we dont have any other tiles or cannot source any to place them in the gap.
So i thought i just remove the lot i started removing them approx 8-9 i relised that there were already tiles underneath thin dark red/brown ones poss 60's 70's council ones (house is 1920's) the floor is like a sticky black tar underneath, i stopped as they may contain asbestos, now i dont want to carry on to remove the other 70 tiles.
So my questions are, can i plywood over the ceramic tiles using glue (want lino now) if so what mm bear in mind the height is the same from kitchen to hall on the door bar.
And would there be any need to worry about the asbestos that i must and the rest of the house hold has inhaled?
