thats not a bad for someone learning as they go, theres a lot right with it, and as you say the next time you will do it different

problem is as you have already been told is that you have used the wrong addy, these diy stores have a lot to answer for, they sell products without any proper advice, they cant advise you as they dont know themselves

I would remove as stated and retile but its up to you

you should be proud of your achievements as its not the easist job to tackle for a novice tiler

Make sure before you lift the bath that the bath panel will look ok.. don't want a huge gap under the bath panel... big spiders will get out.

That's the next job, tiling the bath panel to match the floor.

I was going to use waterproof plaster board, surely I can get that right!

On a plus side, the first three tiles behind the shower only have a few mm's of adhesive, so at least I don't need to cut new holes for the copper pipes supplying the shower.

Mikethetile - cheers for the encouragement. Means a lot as there's so much still to do. You're so right about DIY shops, I just grabbed a handful of ready mix tubs that said "waterproof" thinking I was doing the right thing.

At least I mixed the plaster myself with one of those big drill whisk attachments - mind you I managed to cover myself, the shed, bedroom window, my neighbours washing and my freshly cleaned motorbike in the process .
