Not too sure if that's personal insolvency though mate. Though it might lead you to the right place if you contact somebody there.

If you ever wrapped up your own company, you contact insolvency practitioners yourself, so you select one and start the ball rolling. So it could be any private company that's taking control of assets and whatnot.

if it's a forced liquidation (i forget the correct term) then the creditors (needs to be three or more company's who are owed money) contact their own IP's (insolvency practitioners).

So it could be anybody I think borgie. Though if there is a list of those who have recently called in IP's, then somebody off that website will know where the list is or whatever.

i have benn owed a load for over a year now. the company went bump a month ago. they paid me £200 today. 1st money i've had in 9 months. but they want me to send them a new invoice to their new company. this guy has gone bump and started up again , the next day,2 times to my knowledge. it's not good that he's earning and me and i am sure others are owed money. he brags that he is not supposed to be working too!

Dont hold out for your money, its probably all accounted for by the solicitors and receivers.

i wrote the money off a long time ago. was amazed to get some today. but i think it is against the law to be working and running a company when you are not suposed to. just want to inform the OR what he is up to.

Have they actually been wound up or not? If they have he would be under no (legal) obligation to pay anything directly to creditors - so if he is then its some credit on his part. If it was put into receivership then the OR would send out notices to all creditors, so you would know by now who was dealing with it.

The official recievers have a duty bound to inform all the creditors that they have been appointed. There is an attachment to the letter which shows a list of everyone that is owed money. You should have recieved this if they actually did go into administration. They then have to hold a creditors meeting, where you are invited to attend and if you want to say anything you say it there and then. Check with anyone else that worked for this company if they recieved the letter, its strange that you never got one. The only thing I can think of is that they didnt put you on the list which is mis-management in itself.

yes, pebbs they have not told the creditors about me. it was mostly a family co. and a couple of young lads, whose nubers i no longer have. so if i can find contact the creditors i should be able to sort it out and drop them in it. i will start phoning on mon, thanks to dans link.
