Just wondering if anyone does insurance work and if so how did they start it

was it through an agency or calling the company direct

any help given gratefully received

I've done insurance work directly for customers. They can request workmen they use often to do the work instead of the insurance firms usual suspects providing the quote isnt much more expensive. In some cases.

Not too sure how you would get to be one of the insurance firms usual suspects though mate. Maybe one of the others on here can help.

best to phone the insurance firms direct and ask to speak to the person who deals with their list of approved contractors, this takes time but they will usually send you some forms to fill in and return, a good tip is to keep your rates down on the forms so they will send you a few jobs, once you have carried out some remedial work you can slowly raise your price, beware though they take about 3 months to pay, you have to take the good with the bad and be prepared to travel, good luck
