I do know of one organisation who do up to 4 week courses, unfortunately it's not very close by!
It'd be about 2 hrs each way for you if u were to commute.

If u'd like more information I have some bumf from them I could forward if u wish.
I can't vouch for their basic courses, because I've never taken one.
I did however do one of their advanced courses, if it's still the same instructor, he's a good guy from what I see.
You should do your own research too tho, don't take my word for it.
They have testimonials, not sure if you can contact them tho.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't at least one member on here that has done their course.

Hi Lindsay good to see another female getting into the trade. I trained with STC and did their 4 week course plus two of their specialist courses and it was good. That was when they were based in Harlow and the instructors I had have now all left so dont know what their present instructors are like.

Hi Sharon there seems to be a lot of women in the trade now, which is good.
I ended up doing the local college diy course, which was very basic but worth doing, and have just came back from my first weekend on the introduction tiling course at able skills in dartford. Once finished I'm going to be going out with a friend who has been tiling for years so all looks promising at the moment.

Unfortunately my local college only do a 3 day tiling course that I did do. I've done the crash course really so that I don't go out with my friend and not have any clue on the basics. I think the short courses are great as long as you don't think you will be ready to go out and work for yourself after you finish.
