just a quick one

i have been fortunate enough to get a few jobs from the forum since being on again and i am very grateful for that, so if i will always put something back in where and when i can..

heres how i do it...

1. always give your potential customes the web address of tilersforums and ask them to register, as its an easy free way for them to gauge their tiler and their credentials within this community...

2. when ever you enquire with an on line company ie, tools, stone suppliers, tile shops, wedi, schluter etc etc and they ask on the online form, 'how did you hear about us' i always quote www.tilersforums.com, that way, you create more interest and more profile to its status....it makes the companies aware of just how influential and respected this place is within the tiling industry...it makes them interested and they visit and we benefit from their products....then dan and the forum get a wider range of potential sponsors which make the place lucrative and FREE to us

sometimes you forget when something is free how important it is but if we had to pay for this place we'd soon realise how lucky we are to have a reference center like this available 24hours a day...when you look at it like that, it actually magnifies what a life line this place can be!!

public awarness & recommendations cost nothing but they are invaluable to forums and its a small way of putting something back in along with the advice you all give.

i am sure theirs not one of us on here who hasnt benefited in one way or another from this place, i know i have

many thanks
all the best

Ed,

Thanks a million mate. It means a lot to me to hear that. And to be honest, if I didn't get one sponsor, I'd still try my hardest to foot the bills. Which to be honest wouldn't be easy.

Thanks again. :)

Think I'll start putting this attached logo on my letterheads/quotes/invoices then:thumbsup:

With a 'merlecollins' link like Doms:thumbsup:

Nice post Ed

I often post the tilers forum link on my twitter and Facebook.

Good idea from Kev about using the logo on quotes
