Is it ok to ply or backer board??

Tile cutting blades wok well on hardibacker...........don't last long mind.

Smells like a firework has gone off after you cut as well :yes:

The only thing is it is 90% porland cement. So it does tend to eat blades.

Thats why I would go for masonary or cement for the longevity
