Hi, My bathroom has just had Devimat underfloor heating installed but the UFH doesn't cover the entire area of the floor - the builder has laid it down and tiled over the top, but the part where there is no heat is exactly where I stand at the sink. What can I do? He never said that there wasn't enough for the whole area, just went ahead and tiled over the top. Is there any way of fixing this? Could he take one tile off and add in some extra UFH to the existing devimat UFH to cover the cold area? I'm really disappointed as the floor is warm everywhere else, just not in the exact spot where I would like it to be. Is the only option to completely redo the entire floor, which would involve new UFH system and new tiles or is there any way to fix the problem and keep most of the floor as it is?? Thanks for your help!

If you 'ping' the UFH when tiling, can't you repair it? Years so i was told by a sparks there was a Warm Up/similar repair kit that cost about £90?
My point being if they're is, you could take up a small area, cut, extend, re - tile.

No you couldn't as the different size mats have different ratings. If you cut a mat and made it smaller ie: 10m² to say 4m² it would melt ( I've seen somebody do that believe it or not ) extending would probably have the reverse effect of not enough power going through the mat ? Not a sparks so i don't know about the latter effect.
