i am not spouting off im dyslisix takes a while to type in english

When you say grid do you just mean like finding the centre of the floor and then seperating it into equal sections etc?

Sorry to sound stupid but i'm not that experienced......... I just tend to seperate my area into equal areas and then dry lay my first couple of rows......

Hi Gaz no you can grid the whole floor in 600 squares ( the size of the tiles & joints ? ) if you need to or less say in case of a island you have a 2 datum lines one 90 degs to the other 6x300 tiles 1.8 of your datum so you make a 1.8 square box around the island if you keep one tile against the chalk line and the other side of the box a grout joint away as i would around a swimming pool be easy to show someone that put it in writing  Pete
