Some times I blow a job off and them think to my self you are an idiot you should have done that one and then I take a job on and think to my self you are an idiot you should have blown this one off .
The long and short of it is I am an idiot.

You can't win can you eh!
This is my first full weekend off since August, and that was a massive booze up in Berlin, so that was no holiday!
I tell friends that i feel guilty for having a day off and that i rarely have a full weekend, they look at me like i'm insane.
Xmas is crazy so each year i book nothing in foe December other wise it just gets too busy and stressful, i know i can slot things in when the phone rings.
I built my house and i need to work like crazy as it cost too much, so i'm flogging it and then getting back to having fun, i'm single with no kids and i should not be working anywhere near this much!

Don't know how to say no to work. Since last Friday I was only meant to be doing a 90m floor until now but for some reason ended up doing a 40m bathroom too. An otherwise handy week turned into 7 days straight and a few 13 hour shifts too. Always scared to knock work back as there's often bigger jobs that come off the back of it.

Think there can be a thing as too much work. I started off as a 1 man band and quickly started bringing in more and more work once I had spread the word that I had started on my own. When it gets too much, you don't want to turn down the work, so take the plunge and start employing people.
Anyway I've been up to 9 employees and personally it's nothing but stress. Running around like a blue arsed flea, chasing ££ from builders while you still have to pay the guys and you also get the ones that just try take the mickey, and let you down by no turning up, while you get the good ones, that are there till 4:30, and you know you can rely on them.
back down to 2 off us again and have work up until February so I'm more than happy being back on the tools and going the way we are going.

Each to their own though.
