Is the above just for cleaning tiles/sanitary ware prior to applying Silicon sealant or can it be used to dissolve old Silicon residue?

It helps it debond but doesn't actually break it down

It's just that the last dissolver I used left a tiny amount residue.....you couldn't see it,but you could feel it.
