Italy v Spain tonight - the big final

the final of the european championships tonight takes on a touch of irony.

the spanish have dominated for the past 4 years (bit like rubi on here) and the italians are ready to take the crown (a bit like sigma on here lol)

so, will there be a new champion?? or will the spanish reclaim their title?
I'm going with rubi, err i mean spain because i like xabi alonso and he still loves liverpool but that sigma 3c, i mean mario ballotelli could cause some problems.

I think Spain are not as cohesive as they were, and Portugal showed that when they shut them down, not allowing them to play their little triangles of football. Remember, Italy are generally strong at the back and it will be difficult for the Spanish to 'walk' the ball in the net as they like to do.

I'll go 2-1 Italy in 90 mins.

Hats off to Spain. They were superb tonight. Surprised Italy didn't close them down even before they went to 10 men. Not taking anything away from Spain. They know how to manipulate that ball and completely dishearten teams when they need to.

Utterly gutted I was expecting it to be a boring final which would go to penalties so went out instead....4-0 against a team like Italy!!!!!!

A really well played game on Spains part, I was pleased with that outcome. Though as Dave said via text - If italy would have won we could have said we got thrashed by the champs so that wouldn't have been bad either.
