Last week was a pain......booked to do 4 units at a barn conversion (Let's, for a B&B) nothing special, 4 showers, 4 kitchen floors/wall.
Turned up, no windows or doors on....gale blowing through. All walls covered in Hardwall plaster as the guy wants the "rustic" look.
Told him NO......

Managed to do a couple of small floor areas, but then had to pull of until shower areas are skimmed. Tried to pull next weeks job forward to start yesterday..........only to be told the plumbers haven't finished yet. So Monday it is then........then get a phone call to say shower tray is cracked, and a replacement will not be in till Monday......so that stuffs that up.

Was supposed to be laying an engineered oak floor for a relation today.......got up early, as they are an hour away. Only to get a phone call, telling me that prep war hasn't been done, as he has put his back out.

run up to Christmas is busy enough.........but I am getting well P...... Off with all these bloody hold ups, and then I'm expected to work 24/7 to get them sorted. Totally cheesed off with playing catch up.

Sorry........rant over.

Same ere , running 2 days behind due to other trades , even today , travelled 40 odd miles to South shields to be met by plumber who is installing 2 towel rads in the bathroom I'm tiling , so most of the floor up running pipes in ahhhh :incazzato:, so no floor tilted today . Never mind eh , a good tiler will get over that I'm told.

White Room

The last 3 jobs have all had the same sort of problems, plumbers popping in for a couple of hours and doing nothing viable to get the job moving, a guy who wanted to do his own plumbing and surface mounting plastic pipe onto the surface of brickwork and expecting me to dry line over them.

A builder, not even going waste my time with that:mad2:

MTiler

dont get me started. Im twiddling my thumbs waiting for a customer to order mosaics, I was supposed to have started early November and Ive been left high and dry not being able to move other jobs to fill the gap. Id turned down work because I was supposed to be busy through to the New Year. Not a happy bunny to say the least.
