I have fixed the above tiles in the steam room of a spa that I’ve tiled the problem with them is that when you remove the plastic it leaves the glue on the tiles. We have tried every thing to remove it but no joy.
We have now had to strip the room and start again at great expense to porcelanosa. If you have a job to do using these tiles I recommend that you test a sheet prior to fixing.

I had a similar problem once, i used a product called Lithofin wax off,
it was a horrible job but it worked a treat!

i cant remember who makes it but there is also a product called "sticker remover" could be HG.

i know its too late for you but may be worth a try next time! (touch wood it dont happen!).

any pics mate, when i was younger and up to about ten years ago i used to fix a lot of paper faced mosaic and they were always a pain to work with, but thats very interesting, they will have to remove them form sale nationwide won't they? :mad2:

The dark brown tiles still have the plastic on them. The idea is good using clear plastic instead of paper so you can see what you are doing but the glue on paper faced mosaics can be removed with a damp sponge. The new tiles have arrived and they are mesh backed so it’s all good.
