Just asked a local lad to price a reboarding

Standard size bathroom 25m2, remove tiles (popping off easy) hack to brick on 2 walls with a window each, dot n dab, other walls are stud. Skim ceiling, remove rubbish. £580 inc materials?

Does that sound ok ?

Sounds ok to me, he will probably use 6 x 3 plasterboard, 8 x 4's are to cumbersome to drag into a occupied premises.

Nowhere near enough for me.

Sounds a wee bit heavy to me. Materials probably about €50. Leaving 530 for say 2 and half days labour! I say no more than 450.

I worked out materials as such....

Plasterboard 16 sheets 6 x 3 approx £56
Dri wall adhesive 6 bags approx £42
Multi finish 2 bags approx £10
Total £108

At least you'd get it the way you wanted it, done when you wanted it and it can be skimmed later.

I was only pricing in boards for the two Walls back o brick. Gonna be about 100€ Mark for full room, maybe it's not too bad a price.

Yes there is. I've got three customers keys on the keyring, three jobs still to quote for, and working two. Work is flowing. My 6 months at Topps was the right choice, as they give me work, I've got a plumber who has a bathroom shop and a plumbers merchant who has a showroom. All whom I got to know through Topps.

Tings can't be going any better, well, unless I had a secretary's!!

Materials around £100, means even if it took 3 days its over £150 p/day

I'd be finding the time for it, getting a lad with me, or someone just to help with the donkey work.

But I wear a flat cap, so maybe the price is ok for down there

Nah its about right,its what id expect for a plasterer and a lad, but im a lancashire lad ! 'ducks a tighter than ***' in the right order that spells 'yorkshireman'
