Got a kitchen floor to do,300by600 rectified black porc, its on 3by 2 joists sat straight on concrete floor so no deflection, chipboard with UFH, going to cover floor with 6mm cement board screwed and stuck with sutible addy,does anyone know anything else i should be looking out for?

Lucius. It is well worth phoning the under floor heating manufacturer to check about use of their heating system on chipboard - them may suggest a minimum expansion gap between the chipboards, and they will almost certainly recommend use of minimum 10mm thick backer board between heating cable/mat and flooring wood. It never hurts to double check - there are so many different manufacturers giving differing advice on UFH nowadays.

Cheers Andy, know what you are saying a lot of them will tell you anything just to buy the product, this system is actualy wet, Hep20 on the reflective sheets so i dont see a problem.

have you insulated between the joists to stop downward transmission of the heat,is this the one that as conductor plates over the top

Also these porcs are mat normaly seal before grouting in Topps yesterday only had sealer for polished porc? sorry for silly question but been out of the country for a while.
