karndean removal

I've started to remove 20m2 + of karndean vinyl planks this morning, i'm going nowhere fast. I'm starting to think i'd be better slurry coating and tile over the top of it. Any advice from those that have removed this expensive cheap looking plasticky tat welcome......
My method of attack so far has been heat gun/chisel/large scraper/flat blade scewdriver

Hire a floor tile removal tool.

grab the planks with a pair of pliers and pull or run a blade down the middle and pull in two goes

ripped up about 2000m2 a few years back, hire your self a good floor tile stripper,cant remember the model we used , we did have a sit on one the terminator awsome

Tried that earlier but it rips into 1cm squares. Will see how it goes in the morning regards hiring one of the above.
