kitchen floor

hi guys im tiling a kitchen floor which seems to be solid concrete.On looking closer and applying water to it i found that the floor was not porous at all. I was just wondering if i apply a suitable primer to this will i be able to tile my ceramic tiles to it with a flexible cement based rapid set adhesive?
Also when tiling the floor is it wise to remove the kick panels to the cupboards and tile under or just tile up to them? Thanks for any advice,davey.

Remove the kick plates, makes life so much easier.

When you replace the plinths make sure you seal the bottom edge to stop moisture penetration.

Priming will seal it from dust and stop any possible reaction between the adhesive and concrete.You don't need to use flexi for a concrete floor with ceramic tiles,standard rapid set will do.

Seems to be concrete???? is it or isnt it. It could mean the difference between success and failure. Is is powerfloated concrete?

No it won't matter just non flexi is cheaper.
