thx deano what prep should be done for this size tile im thinking a solid wall would be pretty strong

As soon as you put a tile on the wall/ floor you are taking responsibility for everything

The wall is strong but the plaster skim can only take 20kg m2 maybe on the next job you can think about over boarding.

even if the builder prepared the room you should check it i prep all walls myself to my satisfaction its. if your not satisfied with the prep work either tell the builder or do it your self it will cover your *** in the future past experience has taught me not to tile on walls which arent anything less than flat tiles need a 100% coverage or near enough if your packing out your tiles then your tiles will be hollow and could drop of
