Laser Levels

ive use a pencil torch taped to a 4ft stabila works a treat

I've got a Stabila laser and it's the mutts nuts. I guess you get what you pay for.

I used a Stanley CLL that came with a staff. Very easy to use just set up in middle of room set your height and away you go. I find it saves a lot of time and you can also use it for floor work.

In the end i ended up going for a forge steel self leveler from screwfix £39.99 got it home and seems a decent bit of kit for the price.

So reading that then does that mean for every meter the laser travels, it's got a discrepancy of upto .5mm, so over a 10m length it could be out by upto 5mm :huh2:

No, it could be as much as 10mm out as tolerances are usually +/- whatever the number is i.e +/-0.5mm/M.

So, on small jobs then they are fine, but a big room then your asking for trouble using one of these.
