Hi all , new to forum , need help..(in more ways than one :yes🙂

Im going to be laying a floor of terracotta hexagonal tiles ..Im fine with marking out / sealing (how many times! :furious3🙂 but just have simple question as Ive never laid hex's before...any advice on keeping the old grout lines nice and straight? I know it might be a bit of a silly one but if its like laying the diamonds ..I guess its better to do it all by eye rather than using any spacers. thanks for any advice in advance...

Psychobabble...

they are no different from laying any other floor tile and shouldnt be laid by eye the floor needs to be properly set out using a tape measure guage rod if appropriate and a chalk line due to the sizeyness of terracotta you will need a fairly big joint, lay a few out dry to decide what grid size you need then bay the floor out good luck happy tiling

thanks Gary, yes laying out important and understood...but my question is once ive marked out my floor etc is there a way to keep the grout lines on the Hexs nice and even...Ive attached an image of what the client would like...normally spacers used for square tiles whatever pattern...but in this instance is there any recommendation for this other than trying to do it by eye? Ive got a laser level so that should really keep me straight..
