laying limestone step externally.....

About to lay limestone 450x450 externally to my concrete step to the front door as was wondering would sand/cement be best to use or the correct adhesive for laying in this situation??

Got the sealers all sorted ready, so its just the preference in the laying really,

Bit unsure to be honest, bit more of a slab really. charcoal in colour from B&Q

Are they tiles or paving..?

more like paving slabs, thats why im thinking sand/cement. iv not actually got them yet iv just seen them and are not too expensive really. So just considering my options.

IMO sand/cement is effected more by the freeze/thaw factor..unless an additive is added..

I would use a thick bed adhesive... but i am a tiler..

If they are paving slabs I would use sand and cement, if you are unsure, then it might be worth a call to the stone company.

Either would be fine for a step, aww just mix some sand and cement, and get your finger out will yer!

Plan to pebbs mate, just waiting for this (heatwave) were meant to be having! Then il prob end up in a beer garden anyway talking about the limestones i havnt done yet :lol:
