Stripped my own bathroom out last year and found 60x30s porc dabbed onto paint, put the scraper under one tile and the whole row came crashing down, gives me the shudders thinking me and the kids had been in the bath and shower under that lot for years..

When i was a sparky back in 1900 and oatcake, we used to subby for a kitchen fitter that dot and dabbed tiles using silicon. Even as a sparky i used to wince at the thought. Didnt take them long mind. They had clearly done it many times before, because one fitter could almost tile the kitchen in the same time it took the other to fit knobs/handles and adjusted all the doors!
