just thought I'd ask whats the prefered level you guys use for setting out?
be it spirit,laser or even water (never used one of those for 20yr+) although you can still get them

I use 300, 600, 1000, 18000 stabilas
And I'm awaiting my most recent toy from the postie, my dewalt 088k

i use spirit level, fat max or stabila. i should invest in a laser but i get by at the moment

Stanley fatmax works for me, but I'm the same as Mike, tempted by new technology to go down the laser route. Big job in January, may be a bit left over to treat myself

Do like the fatmax had one for years, also a hilti laser the problem is if the laser gets knocked tend to always panic its been damaged and end up double checking it with the fatmax.

I use lasers and bubbles. Use them both for different things and couldn't be without either.

The iPad was a surprise gift from my wife, but yes, a laser would have been a slightly more mature gift!

Laser for me most of the time but it's always good to throw the fatmax over it now and then to double check!

i use all of em fisco and fatmax levels not stabilas as they are only good for mixing adhesive if your drill goes down :yikes:

Me too I have Stabila in all sizes, some cut down by me. Also the lax laser, is great imo although I did modify an old tripod, (the wind up type) because I prefare that to the pole/tripod supplied.
