It's interesting that, isn't it, how much would make us secure... if I carried on with my perfectly fine lifestyle as it is then I would never need much. But I am looking at my parents, now in their 80's and 90's, who have been financially better off than I've ever been, but their care over the last 30 or so years, with a lot of private health care, and now a lot of nursing help, it all costs an absolute fortune. I watched the money programme not long ago and this woman said that basically for our life expectancy now we'd have to have £500,000 in the bank just to make sure we would get the good care we would all want ... a bit of a sobering thought that...
