Lifting Ceramics off concrete floor

Hello, just started lifting floor tiles from my kitchen, but having a problem lifting them. I am using a big heavy duty floor scraper (mutt), but not getting anywere. I have tried drilling holes into the 4 corners and then smashing with hammer, but I am just making a hole with the hammer in the centre of the tile. Anyone know of any power tools I could use for this. The only thing I can think of is to borrow my dads whizzer, and cut them out, but that will make a terrible mess, so would prefer another method.

Hammer and large brick bolster, might just have to chip away at them untill your done

a sds drill with a chisel atachment will get them up in no time

Thanks for the replies, I have already tried the brick bolster, re the sds drill and chisel attachment, does it have to be a sds, if so are they expensive?

Yes it has to be sds, because an sds drill have the option of just hammer action with no rotation otherwise your drill chisel attatchment is gonna be spinning round and round very quickly, and would really be a Mr. Bean moment

Cheers, looks like I am shelling out again, do you recommend any makes, I think Bosch developed this originally, so imagine they will be quite decent.

Really, any sds drill will do.
Obviously the general rule of thumb is a more expensive make should last longer than a cheeper one, but what they do is the same.

I bought one from argos for £60 cos i thought it would not be used very often, used it quite a few times and it is fine, I also bought a chisel for it with a turned up end, it is spot on, paid for its self in the first job!

Got a Bosch from B&Q, on shelf it said it was £69, when I got to the till the women said £54, I said here you go and ran out the store. Anyway the jobs done now so cheers for the advice, even if I dont use it that much as a chisel, it's still a decent drill with a 2yr warranty, so sorted.
