Limestone flooring

Hi, i am a new member here. Any advice on what i need to do to lay a limestone floor onto a screed floor. Area of about 40 Sq mts. I am from Hull area.

just a thought how about getting a tiler and saving your self a lot of hassle.

limestone is a very expensive product and is quite a specialist product to fit, I'd recommend you get an experienced tiler to give you a price. Good Luck !!

Thanks for quick replies and greetings. I do have underfloor heating which is being started this week. My main concern is if i need a de-coupling membrane on top of my screed to stop any cracking. I have been given an estimate from a tiler but i dont know if this includes this or not and just want to make sure wether it is needed.

I concur that.. deffo something i recommend in stone installations with UFH..

This floor was laid without one and this is what happened...Not my job but i had to repair it.

Decoupling going down, very wise move

As above decoupling mat, this will ofcourse be an additional cost but could cost you more in the long run if you dont use one.

How much tiling have you done previously?
