Discuss Limestone in the UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

Got a job coming up soon with Limestone (I think) thats what I've been told to be fitted inside (15mm thick slabs) and outside (30mm thick slabs).

The customer has asked me if the tile for outside can be honed?

The stone has been honed and filled but I presume it must have a bit of a polished look to it.

I was thinking I would need to seal the stone before I started to fix the tiles outside so not sure how this would work?

Also never honed stone before so any advice?

Also was going to lay a de-coupling membrane down as it's new concrete, is it ok to use membrane outside?

Apologise for so many questions in one thread!

Cheers Ross
