limewire gets shut down

Limewire has lost a 4 year battle with the music industry body in the US and has been forced to shut down.

File sharing of any type Dom mate. Probably **** but I think the main thing was music. Got a few rare albums off there that you can't find on itunes myself, they then go in your itunes anyway and if it's available it even downloads the cover of the album for you for the folder in your phone. I'll miss that.

Software was a biggy too but often always bugged with virus of the mean variety.

Got to sort out the sister-in-laws computer out later as it's infected big time, wont let us run in safemode, wont let us open windows security centre, wont let norton pick anything up, can't access internet as everytime it runs a .exe, .sys or .dll it infects it and then windows stops it running, so I can't download more fixes. turns out I've got to copy everything she wants to keep to a spare drive, then plug that in my laptop and scan and fix the files, then do a system restore and re-install everything again! It'll take hours too as the computer is slow.

It's that sort of stuff I avoided limewire for in the recent years. Pretty safe with tunes though.
