Living heat.

Anyone used ufh loose wire system from a company called Living Heat?
My customer is buying one from these.
They have a shop on ebay.The kits seem very cheap tbh,wondering if anyone has used them before.
Don't want any issues obviously.

Me neither. Could be a re-brand? I'm currently using Raychem, its on offer at CTD at the mo.

I use 'The Underfloor Heating Store' and they've always been great, never had any problems with the cable and they are nicely priced.
I'd try and use a mat though instead of the cable, it's a real pain in the bot to use.

Yeah, Cheers guys,Gonna tell my customer not to use these tbh.
The products seem to be very cheap less than half price of CTD!! what with that and no one ever hearing of them and the company not replying to a tech question i sent them,think we will give them the swerve.

I think not even answering a tech question tells you all you need to know about the company. Avoid like the plague and go for a reputable brand that you know works and you are backed up with good support.

Iv just purchased Underfloor heating from Living Heat. Last time i had Warmup. Dont be put off by the price. There was no difference at all in the look, quality and performance between them. The other thing i found is their aftersales and tech guys were absolutely awesome. They knew their stuff and was so damn helpful.
I don't really do a lot of Underfloor Heating, but if i get more jobs i would def use them.

What guarantee do you get with their systems and can it be used with other stats like the 3ie without voiding warrantee?

I still have their brochure. They have a lifetime warranty on both the matting and the loose wire kits. I noticed as well they do a heat film which they cut and prepare to customers spec. its for use with wood laminate and carpet! This has a 15 year warranty.

I used a Warmup stat with mine because it would match with the system in the other room. They even supplied we one. It doesnt effect the warranty of the mat or wire.

Funny how it goes from 'Not replying to a tech question' from Billy, Derby fan, on said company in Devon;
to 'Aftersales and tech guys were absolulety awesome', on said company in Devon, from a.n.other in Devon, who 1st signed up in Feb 2013.

That's handy to know.

Warmup do a similar system called carbon suitable for carpets & vinyl. Never fitted it down to product cost but may look into living heats systems

We don't actually do the Carbon systems in the UK anymore, they have been replaced by the superior foil systems for under Wooden, carpert, vinyl and laminate floors. By the way I do need to point out that the 3IE warranty only covers use under Warmup floor systems. It's a great stat but we can't guarantee it will work with inferior products or what they will do to it.
