What guarantee do you get with their systems and can it be used with other stats like the 3ie without voiding warrantee?

I still have their brochure. They have a lifetime warranty on both the matting and the loose wire kits. I noticed as well they do a heat film which they cut and prepare to customers spec. its for use with wood laminate and carpet! This has a 15 year warranty.

I used a Warmup stat with mine because it would match with the system in the other room. They even supplied we one. It doesnt effect the warranty of the mat or wire.

Warmup do a similar system called carbon suitable for carpets & vinyl. Never fitted it down to product cost but may look into living heats systems

We don't actually do the Carbon systems in the UK anymore, they have been replaced by the superior foil systems for under Wooden, carpert, vinyl and laminate floors. By the way I do need to point out that the 3IE warranty only covers use under Warmup floor systems. It's a great stat but we can't guarantee it will work with inferior products or what they will do to it.

Our system for Wooden floors is the Elektra WoodTec2.
For carpet, Elektra WoodTec2 + FloorTec.

We also stopped the Carbon system many years ago.

That's handy to know. Didn't know they stopped it over here. Was too damn expensive anyway lol. Fitted many of the foil system, one just the other week in fact.

Been fitting Warmup for many years now. Not sure about the foil being laid under a carpet though. I personally wouldn't recommend it to customers due to burning rings in the carpet but I'm happy to oversee this this if it can be confirmed that this would not happen.

Our FloorTec system goes over the WoodTec2 foil before the carpet goes down, FloorTec is a special 7mm mdf type system to give a smooth surface for the carpet.
The FloorTec system is made for Underfloor Heating, and to allow the heat to pass through.

Sticking carpet straight on top is what can cause the rings, it should be laid with the insulated underlay and overlay. The floor buildup should look like below, obviously the main issue with this is floor height depending on what carpet you use.

Floor height has always been an issue with UFH, that's why I liked the carbon but never got a chance to use it. Maybe fit the foil one day under carpet.

Has any one ever put matting or loose wire in with a SLC then laid carpet, vinyl or even wooden flooring on top?
