We don't actually do the Carbon systems in the UK anymore, they have been replaced by the superior foil systems for under Wooden, carpert, vinyl and laminate floors. By the way I do need to point out that the 3IE warranty only covers use under Warmup floor systems. It's a great stat but we can't guarantee it will work with inferior products or what they will do to it.

Cheers,

That's handy to know. Didn't know they stopped it over here. Was too damn expensive anyway lol. Fitted many of the foil system, one just the other week in fact.

Been fitting Warmup for many years now. Not sure about the foil being laid under a carpet though. I personally wouldn't recommend it to customers due to burning rings in the carpet but I'm happy to oversee this this if it can be confirmed that this would not happen.

Living Heat as far as i can see is a stand alone company. Def not part of N&C i use them a lot for tiles. ;)

Living Heat Ltd

I have just come across this thread all about Living Heat ufh and though i may as well give you the facts from the horse’s mouth.

Living Heat was set up by ourselves back in 2001 as part of a family owned and run tile business, we have two shops, House of tiles and Totnes tile and bath studio. The reason we set it up was we were fed up of being sold overpriced heating by the well established brands who in all honesty offered little to no service, (I can’t comment on their current service levels but years ago it was nothing to get excited about). Living Heat is now a standalone company which has 3 main supply sides. One though Living Heat direct to the public, underfloorheatingworld is our on line side and Roma Heating which is the trade side of our business. We also sell and install our heating through our tile shops and other trade partners who for some of them we do rebrand our heating systems and products to them.

All our heating systems come with either Lifetime warranty or 15 year warranty depending upon the system chosen. We have a repair service should a problem ever occur but the we get very few problems and if there is a problem it virtually always tends to be a setting on the thermostat rather than the heating cable its self. We offer all types of electric heating systems mentioned in previous threads and they all have their own advantages and disadvantages. For this reason we offer all systems so we can offer unbiased advice to the customer rather than pushing only our systems and claiming them to be the only way forward! We even supply if required other leading brands should the customer be set on one particular brand as we do appreciate sometimes people do not like change and are comfortable with what they already know and have used.

I am surprised to hear we did not reply to a technical question, sorry about this. We have a dedicated technical team as we do manufacture some products ourselves and should be able to, and aim to answer all questions quickly and accurately. If you do however have any urgent quire please do not hesitate to email or giving us a call where one of the team will be happy to help.

I would like to assure those who feel we are to cheap our price in no way reflects our quality but rather our value for money. Most ufh companies about today that i am familiar with, in my opinion all offer great products but at vastly different prices. As with everything these days it is always worth shopping around but should you settle on us please let me assure you we are no fly by night company and are dedicated to great quality, price and service.

Hopefully this answers a few of the questions above but should you have any questions or require further assistance please do not hesitate to contact myself.

Best regards

Andrew Knight.

Nice clear post Andrew, thank you for pointing that out to all of us.
We were 10 years old ourself last month, you beat us to that by a year or so.

Warm regards, Keith.

Thanks Keith, Its good to see other suppliers like yourself offering free practical advice which can only help improve the knowledge base and understanding on ufh.
