Hey guys, just been out to price up my first job.

Small downstairs toilet, comprising of just the toilet and a sink.

Customer only wants the room tiling halfway up from the floor, nice simple job really, but with it being my first price up my heads gone a bit and just need to make sure im working everything out right, lol

Measured all walls to be tiles around the room.

2ft 8"
2ft 8"
3ft
6ft

all by 3ft 6" drop

Just checking my calculations, lol

I get 14ft 4" all around the room = 4.39 meters
Depth 3ft 6" = 0.975 meters

giving me 4.28 sqm

Customer has not choosen tiles yet, told them to look in Topps and I can get them with discount "Gaz" 😀

Sorry to waffle on, just with it being my first propper price up I feel like Im doing something wrong, lol

What would you lot charge for a small job like this ?, or have I dropped a bomb in my workings out, lol

seems like you have worked it out right... just round it of to 5sq mtrs
now i would charge £120 thats with the materials included..

You need 4.7m tiles, this includes 10% for waste and spares.priced at £150/£170 including material seems fair....good luck Adam

£150 pus mats for me too.

I always allow plenty more tiles and tell the customer that they can bring back what they don't need. ie. for 5m2 I would say get 7 boxes (at a m2 each) saves me worrying about not measuring quite right etc.

Good luck mate.

Thanks guys...

Quoted her £175 inc mats, + discount on tiles if there is any too and she seemed happy with that.

Said she was going to Topps tomorrow to choose tiles, so just wait now and see if I get a call back, fingers crossed
