I don't know about the D24000 but certain other product like vacuum cleaners are 'dumbed down' when supplied to discount outlets like Argos. So a 'Henry' for example could be the genuine article at your local Hoover shop but the same model at Argos will be of a lower quality made to suite the lower price.
