I am a artist/printer who has been using smooth, self-adhesive Marley Tiles (laminated onto 1/2 inch MDF board) for an engraving process, like lino printing, but using my smaller, finer, wood-engraving tools to make my cuts. I bourght one pack of these pale-grey, slightly marbled, very smooth surfaced tiles (no grain at all), about 10 yrs ago. The pack contained 8 very thin tiles with a peel-off backing paper, the dimensions were 300x300mm.
The packet is cardboard with a dark green background, red, white and black printed title and information, and two white-outlined elephants. The pack has a large window in the top, through which the surface of the tile can be inspected. The code number on the pack is: SOLID TILES MSP950P, and the Batch No is: AEO181.
Can anyone, anywhere suggest where I might find a few more packs of these tiles?
Or a very smooth-surfaced tile which is similar 'recipe' to Marley's?
