Folks,
About to start my ensuite, and just wanted to ask a couple of quick questions :
- I was planning on lay porcelain tiles on the floor and walls... I have a 1200 x 900 offset quad MX stone resin shower base. I was thinking that trying to cut the tiles around the curved base would be too difficult... So I was thinking I would lay the tiles under the base, and use something like tile cement to take up any slack - What do you reckon guys ?
- Whilst the shower is not tanked at the moment, I seem to have read that this is mandatory now, so must be done - Could you guys confirm ? and what would you recommend ?
- The existing surfaces are plaster board with a skim over it... I had planned to remove the old tiles, clean up the surface, then tank and tile over. I know this is difficult, as there are lots of parameters, but would you guys recomment replacing the base surface ?
Thanks for your help...
Cheers,
Paul.
