Hi All

Have been researching loads of courses (my wife is getting sick of it!!)

I have been in touch with NETT and also Construction Skills college. I live in Morecambe so neither are that close to me. Although i am favouring NETT, i would have to pay for accomodation. Whereas CSC is in Wolverhampton about 30mins from my family, who i could stop with.

Anyway, i have found Lancashire School of Trades - just wondering if anyone had any recent dealings with them? I think i found some reviews from when they were having a change of staff and problems etc, but this wasnt recent.
These are about 40 minute drive from my home and also do weekend courses

Any help is appreciated

Andy

Hi Darren. I haven't booked yet. I have £200 so far, so am working on it. Had someone recommend plastering work to me today as being the better option to start with, more weekend work available apparently. But I'm not so sure. I would have thought tiling would have more. Just keeping my options open until I have the cash. Might have a place to stay in Brough which is closer to ur place. I don't mind an hour and half journey.

Hi ndy
Tracey must have had crossed wires with someone else booking on today called Andy
Plastering is a good trade also to have, in this day and age you need to be multi skilled so you can take whatever job comes up really, relying on one trade to make a good living is getting tougher in these testing times, peolpe forget thats theres more to making the money than just being a good tradesman, you need to be able to connect and be able to sell yourself well to a customer to get the job in the first place, all and all there is still money to be made as a tradesman, just gotta look harder to find the work
Best of luck with your desicion
Regards
Darren
