We bought 32sqmts of white large high gloss porcelain tiles from BFF in bishop and after a few month they developed silvery /black hairline marks and peppered spotting in certain places .bff spoke to the distributor stokes tiles and they sent a rep out twice with cleaner that dosing work , there are also shadows on the edges of every tile along where the grout is. Some now are telling me to go back to the shop and buy replacements , any ideas anyone

No I was notknowd to get any of them sealed, didn't know they had to be

That is BAF tiles... thought that was what you meant... i live just a few miles from Jeffs place..(BAF)..

Your issue could be a number of reasons.. What make of tile is it.?

Dave yes it's baf sorry, I have not a clue who made them ,got the impression baf didn't want to know at first as he told me to contact the tiler Darren who did a really good job and I asked him what he thought and he told me to speak to jeff and that's who contacted stokes tiles

Edit: no I've read the posts before it and it still sounds dirty. What's a bartenders friend?

It's a cleaning product a very fine white powder you put on a cloth and rub it in the stain

Oh right. That's the Mrs's job so no wonder I didn't know what it was! I got the wrong end of the stick there. Sorry.

The peppering sounds like the tiles weren't sealed and the pores are filling with dirt,
Can you take a few pictures of the problem ?
The bar keepers friend is a very good abrasive cleaner, Sainsburys do it iirc, I've not used it on tiles though

Yep that's the stuff but worried incase it leaves a mark in the tiles or takes away the shine

I am in N/Aycliffe Lynn,so a stones throw from you... just had to pop out so late in replying back..

What colour grout was it and what brand.?

I tried to take photos before to mail to stokes tiles but because of the high shine and reflection they didn't come out but the first one I noticed I thought it was a hairline crack under the surface

The grout was white but the tiler who does lots of work with jeff got it from there
